January 11, 2002 EV Rental Cars Announces Sale of its 2001 Hybrid-Electric Toyota Prius

Today EV Rental Cars added the 2001 Toyota Prius to its pre-owned vehicle sales program. The Prius joins the Honda Insight hybrid-electric vehicle, and 2 natural gas models, the Honda Civic GX and Ford Crown Victoria.

EV Rental Cars is the only car rental company in the country to offer strictly environmental vehicles. EV Rental Cars introduced its resale program January 2001 with the Honda Insight hybrid-electric vehicle and the Honda Civic GX natural gas vehicle. Later that year, the natural gas Ford Crown Victoria was added and today the much anticipated Toyota Prius.

The half gasoline, half electric Toyota Prius gets 600 miles per tank of gasoline! It never requires charging from an outside source and the Prius qualifies as a super ultra low emissions vehicle.

The Toyota Prius are 1 year old and come with air conditioning, power locks and windows, Anti-lock brakes, AM/FM Stereo with Cassette and CD Player, and dual airbags. Mileage range is 20,000-35,000 and the vehicles come with the remainder of the 3 year, 36,000 mile factory warranty. The hybrid components come with an 8-year, 80,000 mile warranty. Starting price is $17,500.00. The Prius come in silver and white with light gray interior and are in excellent condition.
