Sacramento's Green Rental Car Fleet

Sacramento International Airport this month becomes only the second place in the nation where environmentally conscious drivers can rent a "green" car which run on nearly zero polluting electricity or natural gas.

(Sacramento) - Twenty green cars - including the Honda Civic GX, which runs on compressed natural gas, and the Ford Ranger EV among others - will be available for rent at EV Rental Cars, part of the Budget Rent-A-Car agency at the airport. Depending on the model, rentals start at $44 a day. A map of 20 natural gas fueling stations and 100 recharging stations is available with each rental. One final bonus for electrical vehicle renters: Recharging is free. Car renters who take advantage of the offer can spread their money in the region, but not their auto exhaust.

For more information, customers can call (877) 387-3682; write to EV Rental Cars at 9775 Airport Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045; or visit the company's Web site at www.EVrental.com.
